Stones fallen from retaining wall

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later

A resident has reported to the Town Council that stones have fallen from a bulging retaining wall situated between Brown's Lane & Hoggrove Hill along Oxford Street. A previous report expressing concern about this wall was sent to OCC Highways in July 2019.

  • Thankyou for your Enquiry. It would appear that the was is private from the title plans (OCC have no land ownership on the A44 at that location) and it’s the boundary feature therefore private. JXF OCC 02/12/2020

  • This is a private wall. Loose stone had been removed and small repair will be carried out

  • Thank you for your report. This area is scheduled to be repaired by the Dragon patcher machine however I am unable to confirm the exact date. The programme is currently being prepared and work shall commence in the near future.
