Depression in new surface

Reported via iOS in the Pothole category anonymously at 16:04, Wednesday 14 October 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

On the north side of the B430 as you leave Weston on the Green before you get to the Layby were the broken drain was repair a month ago. The road by the drain has been resurfaced but a large depression has appeared which it impossible to see, but as you drive over it there is a large bang as the cars wheels hit it. This has got a lot worse since I noticed this a week ago.

  • Thank you for your report. Our Highways Officer has passed this on to our Technical Officers who are programming in remedial works for this patch. We have a specialist booked for early December to advise us on the course of action with this section of road as we understand we cannot undertake larger permanent repairs without a licence. For this to proceed we require an expert report and have set up a meeting for early December. In the meantime our Highways Officer will continue to monitor this section of road. Thank you.
