Road illegally and dangerously narrowed

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 11:13, Wednesday 14 October 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The road just outside the old Lamb pub has been illegally narrowed using mud, bins, rocks and cones. It is hard to see and dangerous - cars are narrowly missing each other, and nearly falling into the hidden ditch on one side of the road. this has also been reported by email to the council but was requested to additionally put it on here.

  • This continues to be a dangerous issue. Branches have now been added to the mud that has been placed on the road, narrowing it to a single lane right next to a bend, and where there is a hidden ditch beside the road.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • This appears to have got worse. The owner of the old pub is using cones, lumps of rock and his wheelie bin to reduce the width of the road. This is on a blind bend where the road already narrows, also exacerbated by a deep puddle on the other side of the road. An accident waiting to happen.
