Drains blocked outside my house

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I reported this problem a couple of weeks ago and have received a reply saying you cannot find my house. The address is The Cottage, Steeple Close, OX15 4ND. The problem is the blocked drains but also the road dips down into a hollow where the water collects and splashes my house. The drains need clearing but the dip also needs filling. The green mould building up on the walls of my house can be seen very clearly.

  • The road has been built up outside my house but large puddles still form, maybe because the drain has not been cleared.

  • The drains have now been cleared but the rain water still gathers on the newly tarmacked gutter area outside my house. It should slope towards the drain but it does not.

  • I am getting very frustrated about the rain water gathering all along the road outside my house. Although the drains have now been cleared, there is simply not enough of a slope for the water to drain towards the drain. The path is very narrow outside my house and water is continually splashing onto the house after rain. Please can you do something about it? My address is The Cottage, Steeple Close, Bloxham.

  • I have now received notification of my increased Council Tax and wonder when, in return, something will be done about the rain water gathering outside my house and splashing against the brickwork and windows.
