Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The drain above is located in the pavement outside 118 Banbury Road. It has been increasingly overflowing and flooding our property in the past few weeks. This is an ongoing issue from 2018 and has been looked into before. We require urgent sandbags to stop the flooding and request a call from The engineering team who dealt with it. The historic contact was Nick Watson. The persistent damp is causing damage to the render of our property.

Thank you for reporting this issue. Investigated with drainage contractor. Gully on the footway outside No. 118 is connected to Thames Water surface water sewer. At the time of investigation line was backed up which resulted gully overflowing on the footway. We have in few manholes downstream and water level was still high. Possible worth reporting to Thames Water for them to investigate as well.

Hello, We will conduct further investigation to try find a reason for water backing up and causing flooding in the area. We are suspecting Thames Water surface water sewer as highway drainage is connected to their pipe which runs along the front of properties. Last time we attended there was high water level in the pipework and we could not complete CCTV survey to confirm state of pipework. We have this issue on the top of priority sites to attend and hopefully will update you shortly. Thank you

Thank you for reporting this issue. The gully issue/blockage has been investigated and will be included in our forthcoming gully cleansing programme. We had attended on 16/04/21 and found that main reason for flooding is main carrier pipe which appears to be Thames Water surface water drain was silted and blocked causing water backing up and flooding footway outside your property which is at low spot. We cleared it best we could and restored the flow however this is Thames Water sewer and highway drainage is just connecting to it.
