We live in Deanfield Road, directly below Harcourt Close (approx. 15 feet above). Heavy rain in the summer has, on several occasions, overwhelmed the four drains at the cul-de-sac end of Harcourt Close. The resulting torrent of water has washed away the soil from the top of our garden, it then cascades down and floods the garden round the house to a depth of several inches. We suspect that the four drains are partially blocked and would like to know when they will next be cleaned. If this isn’t scheduled for the very near future, are you able to supply sandbags for us to create a barrier at the top of the garden? Many thanks.

Why have we had no response other than what seems to be a computer generated reply?

Thank you for your report. We have inspected the adjacent gullies reported and found them to be clear of any detritus .It is possible during very heavy and sustained showers the gullies like many areas are unable to cope ,though the water does eventually drain away after short period of time. We will continue to monitor the location
