Flooding of West Hanney-Denchworth road

The West Hanney-Denchworth road is closed yet again due to flooding following the recent heavy rain. The primary cause is the ditch on the southern side of the road overflowing where the road is particularly low-lying. The ideal solution would be to raise the road level and/or raise the sides for the ditch. However, I have noticed that the water in the ditch alongside the flooded section of the road does not seem to flow away and subside, even though the ditch eastwards from the junction with Church Street is nearly empty. (I believe the ditch drains in an easterly direction.) Suggest this indicates that there is a major blockage in the drainage pipe which runs between the section of open ditch which floods and the open ditch eastwards from the junction with Church Street. If this blockage is resolved, it would significantly reduce the extent of the flooding and the associated disruption.
