The road drains at the Godstow Road end of Elmthorpe Road are not draining after rain. All 4 drains between Godstow Road and numbers 2 and 4 Elmthorpe Road are bad. In particular those closest to number 2 and 4. The pooling covered the entire road and most of the pavement on both sides after the recent prolongued bout of rain. It takes 8 or 9 hours to drain away adequately and 24 hours completely once the rain stops. The problem is getting worse. I think it may be from the muddy run off that comes from the bridges on Godstow Road, particularly bad since they started work on the Mill building site during the groundwork stage (large lorries, muddy wheels). It has contributed to rat problems in my home, which began after the heavy rain we had in July. I look forward to it being sorted out before the winter. I fear my house may be compromised by flood risk and continued onslaught from rats otherwise. Thank you :)
