Flooding following heavy rain closing road to most ordinary vehicles

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The road to either side of this small bridge over a tributary of the River Ray regularly floods after heavy rain. The village of Oddington is then cut off from Islip and Kidlington usually for several days at a time on several occasions each winter as flooding also affects another entry point to the village as well. Sometimes the third and only other entry point via Charlton on Otmoor is also obstructed, so the village is cut off except for those who have ‘high’ vehicles. The problem seems to be becoming more frequent. Local water courses are overgrown and this must contribute to the problem. Please could the adjacent landowner(s) be asked to clear these?

Informed local parish council about the problem with ditches. He should pass the message to to riparian owners about their responsibility to maintain the ditches. Thank you
