Cycle path 544 is in a poor state
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 16:35, Sun 4 October 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The cycle path 544 from Hagbourne Road up to the St. Mary the Virgin Church is in a poor state with regions of almost no path and bumpy sections. I request you to address the issue soon as during winters it would be a bit difficult to commute on cycle in this section.

Thank you for your report. Sorry for the delay in reply we are trying to work through a backlog of older work. This has been pin-pointed in the Ladygrove area of Didcot but the description mentions Hagbourne Road to St. Mary the Virgin Church, Upton, so my next comments refer to this section. The Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) Highway and Sustrans information that we have for this is as follows - Bridge Close to Green Close (Tarmac) is maintained by Sustrans. Green Close to Mowbray Fields (Surface dressing) OCC. Mowbray to Chapel Furlong, Upton (Surface dressing) Sustrans. Chapel Furlong (gravel) OCC. I am closing this report because from the description I am unfortunately unable to establish quite where the issues are. However if where you are concerned about is within the OCC sections would you please raise a new report or reports, pin pointed as accurately and with as much detail as possible where they are. Any issues with the Sustrans sections need to be reported to them. The details for their Offices can be found via the following link if you copy and paste it into your browser. https://www.sustrans.org.uk/ contact-us/ sustrans-offices.
