Drain blocked

Reported via mobile in the Drainage category anonymously at 11:18, Sat 3 October 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Drain blocked at the bottom of Tite Lane. This only leaves one drain to take All the surface water from Park Hill, Down End and Tite Lane and that one drain discharges the water directly into the adjacent stream. This drain is lower in the ground and has to be regularly cleared of leaves etc. The result of this blocked drain is our garden flooding, the road flooding and a river of water coming down our drives and through the garages.

  • This drain is still blocked despite 2 separate crews coming out. With todays rain flood water is threatening to come down our drives again. No update has been received since last reported on 3rd October.

  • Four separate crews have now attended but drain is STILL blocked. Surface water is flowing into the adjacent stream. This burst its banks and has devastated our back garden. This is not the first time this has occurred. There are no drains further along Park Hill causing surface water to flood our front drives also. Having spoken to one of the crews sent out there appears to be a simple solution to the blocked drain but apparently nothing is being done. I guess nothing will happen until compensation claims are forwarded to the council.
