Light on the Lane in Hempton not working

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 08:40, Tuesday 29 September 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I have previously reported the street light as "not working" and have received a note suggesting this is fixed. It is sadly not fixed.

  • This is the 2nd time I have raised the issue and the first was "closed" as it was claimed the light was repaired. This is now a safety issue given there is no light for people walking up The Lane. It is a health issue for children walking and a safety issue for peoeple walking in the dark.

  • Another month on and his still isn't fixed!!! There is no other nearby street lighting so it is very dark and the road surface is uneven and a trip hazard which is a particular concern for older residents.

  • Spoken to OCC today. Once she had found it she said she would chase-up the contractor - didn't exactly fill me with confidence that it will get fixed anytime soon!
