Double yellow lines not painted

Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 19:41, Monday 28 September 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Double yellow lines have been painted down Withington road Bicester last week. But even though pre warning was put on signs that road marking work was to be carried out people still left their cars parked up all day leaving two big gaps that couldn't be completed. The road marking guys have tried a couple of times to complete the work but have had the same problem. No one seems to be bothered that they shouldn't be parking there. Do you know when it would be possible to complete the work as this piece of road is an accident waiting to happen with the local school nearby and people still parking cars where they shouldn't.

  • Same problem in Longfields and elsewhere in Town. No waiting cones and enforcement may help?
