Pedestrians using road due to building works: conflict/safety issue due to hedges/trees

Major building works/site at old Toys-R-Us sees pedestrians using road at this location. It would help safety greatly if overhanging trees/hedges were cut hard back, the more so with darker evenings and faulty lights on the Wickes/Aldi car park..
The lights appear to be unmaintained: ‘day-lighters’, no wonder the lights fail.. many do not work at any time of day.. I assume they are private car park lights, not maintained/adopted by County council?
Perhaps the building site/developer might contribute to fixing those nearest this road for the benefit/safety of pedestrians whilst all pavement/pedestrian access is restricted (between Aldi and Screwfix at rearmost of car parks..) — else maybe they could install lighting along perimeter of their fence?

Thank you for your report. This building work is on private land, as are the lights in the car park. I suggest contacting the company directly. Unfortunately I do not have any records to who this might be, so all I can suggest is contacting the existing shops or the building contractors for more information.
