Cycle path ends on the inside of blind bend

The cyclepath alongside the A415 between Abingdon and Culham starts/ends on the inside of a bend at Colmoor Farm. Heading West if a cyclist were to go onto the road, they have to cross a busy road with a 40mph limit on a blind bend. Most cyclists with children (there are many who go to Europa School) feel safer to stay on the pavement until Rye Meadow Car Park in Abingdon. THankfully few pedestrians on that stretch, but it is not wide enough for bicycles, bikes with trailers or cargo bikes to easily pass each other going in opposite directions. Can the Causeway Path be upgraded and widened to accommodate a shared pedestrian and cycle path, and generous width to safely pass for all bicycles, tricycles, hand bikes that are wider. Or better still, a shared cycle/pedestrian path on both sides of the road but please not just painted lines.
