Unfinished dangerous traffic island on a420

Reported via iOS in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category by Buckland Parish Council at 10:53, Wed 16 September 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The traffic island on the a 420 at Buckland services remains non-illuminated with a reflective sign on it held down by sandbags for well over a year. There is evidence of vehicle damage to the island itself illustrative of its poor visibility and the hazard this is causing. Please can this finally be finished?

  • Thank you for reporting this. We are aware that the works to the traffic island have not been completed. We are in discussions with the developer and their contractor, who are in the process of booking road space with our Network Management team to complete these works. We have advised the developer that the works need to be completed as a matter of urgency and have asked them to provide us with a date as soon as they can.

    Kind regards
