Wooden verge obstructions
Reported in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 13:53, Tue 15 September 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Large wooden verge protectors that restrict the road and may damage vehicles turning. These are not on private property to my mind but on the roadside. These type of obstructions are becoming more and more prevalent in rural areas and on narrow lanes and can cause significant damage to vehicles.

Wooden blocks or tree stumps still on the carriageway. Other houses in the area have rocks on the verges. All these are on the public highway and have the potential to damage vehicles.

As a local resident of 15 years there are regular incidents of people parking in this area and often blocking the road for fuel delivery and emergency vehicles. The stones or wooden posts provide a sensible deterrent to people parking dangerously.

How can you say that it is a sensible deterrent when they damage vehicles because of their size?
