A4074 Nuneham Courtenay

Reported anonymously at 07:07, Tuesday 15 September 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later

I am writing to draw your attention to the lack of cycle lane and/or pavement on the A4074. It would be exceedingly beneficial for this road to be cycle-friendly. It is virtually the only reasonable route from the City of Oxford to the University Arboretum in Nunenham Courtenay. This road also provides access to the nearby towns of Dorchester and Shillingford. Being a dual carriageway, it is technically possible to cycle on the A4704, but doing so would be a dangerous and unpleasant experience. May I ask that the Council consider investing in the county's cycle network by fitting a cycle lane by this road, at least up to Nuneham Courtenay, making it fit for the needs of the 21st Century?
