Two Street Lights missing
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 21:03, Thu 10 September 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Two street lights have been removed on the rise up to the bridge on Chinnor Road due to a crash and one of the lampposts rotting off and snapping, this has left no lighting on the bridge coming from the Thame side.
Council ref: 2288877
Asset ID: 056908
Column number: 029
Thank you for your report, to enable us to log the fault to the correct unit can you please advise using the attached map the street light number you are referring to. If the unit is not on the map this would not be owned/maintained by Oxfordshire County Council and would need to be reported to the developer/landowner direct. Unfortunately we do not keep records of private lights.

This has still not been fixed, and now the clocks have changed it getting dangerous earlier in the day. There is no lighting yo protect pedestrians on the narrow pavement over the bridge. It is also dangerous for drivers who do not know the road bends to a bridge

Oxfordshire Council asked for the light reference numbers in September, these lights were both knocked down due to cars hitting them on the bend, thus proving how dangerous this bend us! Therefore there are no reference numbers. They are not on private land. They are on the railway ( now over phoenix trail) bridge between chinnor Road and Garden City, Thame

Street Lights No: 28 and 29 near the bridge have not been replaced after an accident removed them. It makes it very dark as No: 30 are not working either. People are having to use the torches on their phones. The area is narrow and dark and vehicles often approach the bridge too quickly.

Please can you confirm why these have not been replaced yet? Thanks
