A 30mph reminder sign needed here
Reported in the Road Markings category anonymously at 17:09, Mon 7 September 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
This newly resurfaced and widened stretch of road has led to traffic speed increasing. There is a 30mph sign further back when you approach from Henley, and there is new signage which includes a 'reduce speed now' message, BUT at this same point it would make sense to add a round 30 sign (so drivers know what speed they are supposed to be reducing to!). This might help slow the traffic as it approaches the dangerous junctions with Station Road and Woodlands Road (where schoolchildren cross for buses).

Dear Victoria,
As stated in the Highway Code, the speed limit is automatically 30mph within a built up area, which are identified by the presence of street lighting. As street lighting is provided along this section of the A4155 in the location of the new junction, 30mph repeater signage is not permitted.
Kind regards
