Double Yellow lines needed
Reported in the Road Markings category by Ashleigh Cooke at 08:27, Fri 4 September 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Vehicles park on both sides of the narrow road. Emergency service vehicles need access at all times. Double yellow lines would prevent vehicles parking on the bend and solve this issue.

Thank you for your enquiry and please accept our apologies for the delay in response. The installation of formal waiting restrictions (yellow lines) requires the implementation of a ‘Traffic Regulation Order’, this involves a long and expensive legal process including public consultation, I regret that Oxfordshire County Council do not currently have the available funding for such a scheme.
We would suggest that an initial approach is made to your Town / Parish Council so that due consideration can be given towards its priority within the local area and so that the proposal can be endorsed and promoted locally. Town / Parish Councils are also well placed to secure the necessary financial cost to such a scheme should it be progressed.
It should be noted that if vehicles are parked in such a manner as to cause an obstruction of the highway they are committing an offence under Section 22 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and can therefore be moved by Thames Valley Police although, from experience and appropriate, local understanding can also assist.State changed to: Investigation complete
