Cyclepath and walkway overgrown
Reported via iOS in the Grass category anonymously at 10:18, Sun 30 August 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Please clear the edges of this path - it has become narrow forcing everyone into the middle, also slippery when damp. Schools are about to return & this is the main route from Ducklington into Witney. Thanks

The footpath alongside the cycle track from the Tesco Service Station as far as Sainsbury’s supermarket is severely affected by overgrown hedgerows and undergrowth forcing pedestrians on to the cycle track in numerous places. Several times my wife and I have not heard approaching cycles and mobility scooters coming from behind us when we have been forced into the cycle track. This is also the case on the foot way/cycle track alongside Riverside Appartments to the Oxford Witney Hotel. This problem has been ongoing for several months.

Saturday 5 September tree totalling blocking this pathway at the Springs end. Shrubs brambles and foliage still covering the length of the footpath forcing pedestrians onto cyclepath this was reported 2 weeks ago and ox highways respond its not their issue. Whoever cut back last time left the debris. It's a disgrace to be honest. There is also a danger of some larger trees overhanging the path which will no doubt come down soon if they aren't chopped back. Lucky no one hurt already with the tree down recently..
