Drain flooding into road
Reported in the Drainage category anonymously at 17:54, Thursday 27 August 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
This is an ongoing problem and has been reported many times already but will become very dangerous in the winter if not resolved immediately. This is on north Hinksey Lane, just before the long row of houses and has been overflowing non-stop for many days.

This was reported on 27th August and the water is still pouring out of the drain even though we haven't had rain for some time It is eroding the road surface and causing a flood. This problem is ongoing and is especially dangerous when it occurs in winter .

Thank you for your online enquiry. We are aware of this issue and was hoping to carryout work to rectify it within this years budget. Unfortunately budgets have been spent or allocated to other works considered to be more urgent. I understand that recent jetting work has helped to allow the culvert to function in some capacity. We will of course respond swiftly to re-jet the culvert if it becomes an issue again in the short term. Should budgets become available before April I have made this work a high priority as it has been on the list for a while now. If no further budgets are available then the work will be arranged for April 2021.
