Dead Elm Tree

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 15:11, Thursday 27 August 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This tree is opposite the garages on Summerfields footpath. People are worried it might fall. There is a healthy Elm next to it and it would be prudent to take it away to be destroyed. There is also a mass of dead ivy next to it which could be cleared at the same time.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. The tree has been assessed. The dead elm me tioned is not in the ownership of Oxfordshire County Council in our capacity as local highway authority. Though because of being within the vicinity of the path we will be investigating ownership, with the aim to impose removal on the land owner and therefore the tree owner. If we are unable to impose said work we will look to remove the tree as part of programmed work.
