Byway completely blocked - Stoney Lane

Reported in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 18:56, Mon 24 August 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Follow the byway from Little Hasley to Pyrton. A section about 0.5 miles long is near completely impassable. The Byway is over grown with Bramble and Nettles. It took me over 30 minutes to traverse this section ending up cut, stabbed and stung.

I attempted Stoney Lane from Clare Hill to Little Haseley this morning and can confirm that that significant sections of the bridleway are almost impassable with overhead branches, brambles, wild roses, nettles and very long grass.

  • Stoney Lane remains in atrocious conditions. Now a willow tree has fallen across the path, making it impassable on a horse or a bicycle.

  • I have tried again and could cycle the entire length of Stoney lane. So thank you to whoever cleared it
