Drain tarmaced over

Reported in the Drainage category anonymously at 11:23, Monday 24 August 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The workers currently re-surfacing Lashford Lane, Wootton, have completely tarmac'ed over a drain. The location: From Besselsleigh Rd, go down Lashford Lane to the bottom. Go round the 90 degree bend into Church Lane and the drain is immediately on your right (see map attached). This will create a potential flood problem. NB: the road is currently closed for these roadworks, which I think may finish today.

  • Same thing in Lashford Lane, outside numbers 106 and 108. Drain almost completely covered in tarmac after the road re-surfacing last week. Will cause flooding if not fixed straight away. How can your contractors leave drains like this ??
