Rising Bollards do not seem to be working
Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 09:21, Mon 24 August 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I've noticed a dramatic increase in traffic coming and going from King Edward/Merton Street, likely to avoid the bus gate on the high street. Today (24 Aug, 2020) at 9am the bollards were down. What is the point of having a bus gate if it is so easily avoided?

These bollards are still not working, and cars are regularly using this as a short-cut to avoid the bus gates on the High Street.

Thank you for your report. We are looking to have the rising bollards working again by 1 April. Because of their age, we have had to replace the bollard and install some additional technology to bring them up to a standard that allows them to work consistently. Unfortunately, this upgrade has taken longer than expected but we are now in the testing phase. I have marked this report as fixed as we have an a date when the bollards will be operational again.
