A domestic surface water drain for Matthews Stable Cottage, Thrupp , OX5 1JY connects to a similar drain on and serving the neighbour's property. This shared drain is then taken and connected to a road gully some 15 M from the boundary of the neighbour's property with the road. Could you please advise who is responsible for maintenance of this 15M drain ? Thames Water state that they have no surface water drainage responsibility within the Village and suggested that I should ask you for guidance.
