Low hanging branches obstructing the path - and trees in need of assessment as there are dead branches which are a danger to pedestrians

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 16:54, Mon 17 August 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The trees along this path need assessing for structural integrity and definitely require cutting back as the footpath is obstructed - the photos were all taken at head height and it is evident that adults need to duck under the branches to use the path.

  • A few of the low hanging branches directly above the path have been trimmed back to allow pedestrian access (most likely by a local resident) but the branches are still leaning on the adjacent outbuilding and the older trees along this path have not yet been dealt with.

  • Can the required tree work please be scheduled before the poor winter weather takes its toll, there is a lot of dead wood.

  • This issue is still outstanding and the trees have shifted since October, the winter rains have weighed down the extensive ivy and the mostly dead wood is not structurally sound enough to continue supporting the weight for much longer.

  • Still no action to resolve the concerns with the trees along this path.
