The heavy rain in the last few hours falling on OX11 has caused at least two of our commercial premises at OX11 8AG to be flooded. The main cause is considered to be the run-off from the adjacent public highway, Broadway, Didcot. It has been pointed out to your Department before, following similar flooding, that the highway drainage installed by your contractor in approx. 2001 as part of the DMH2 works is inadequate in the location of the floods. This is considered to be, as before because the road gulley on the north side of the public highway there was not connected to a drain at the time. I'm not aware that this fault was ever rectified.
