Constant Deliveroo etc Motorbike bike use through prohibited barriers
Reported in the Road Markings category anonymously at 10:05, Fri 14 August 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Deliveroo and other food delivery drivers speed up the street constantly, accessing Longwall St through the prohibited barriers at the end of the street, both ways. The police occasionally pass by but otherwise there is a constant flagrant abuse of road traffic rules by delivery drivers at the prohibited entry into Longwall St. it is noisy, dangerous and disturbing for residents. It is very risky and illegal to access Longwall St by motorbike from Holywell Street onto the Longwall junction as it is on a bend and traffic is fast both ways. The Road Traffic law is being constantly flouted. In my view - and other residents- there needs to be a surveillance camera installed at the end of Holywell St and two prohibited signs installed on the INSIDE of the barrier at the end of the street also. The same applies to the adjacent street Jowett Walk ( where multiple student accommodations are nearing completion) This street is also a ‘rat run’ for motorbikes heading to deliver food east of the city over Magdalene Bridge

This is a restricted road therefore would be an enforcement issue as we don't have the powers to enforce
