I'm writing about the current road works at Camp Road at Upper Heyford.

Reported anonymously at 13:35, Thursday 13 August 2020

Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The rubbish has not been collected due to the current road works. This is unnecessary and unacceptable during the hot summer weather. There is no reason for the rubbish not to be picked up as access to the road has always been fully open.

  • I'm writing about the current road works at Camp Road at Upper Heyford.

We've just had a call at the door from the water company advising that power cable for the water pump for the septic area located at the far back of our property has been damaged/stopped working and they will need to dig around our property and garden to fit a new power cable.

We've had major road works and road being digged out outside our property which has clearly caused the damage to the existing power cable. We've lived here for 4 years and this issue hasn't happened until the recent road works. The works at our property are estimated to last a week. In addition to the damage to the garden etc. I currently work from home which is adding additional complexities around the noise. If my work is impacted I will log in a formal complaint and pursue further action..

The understanding is that road works have been scheduled due to the complaints received around the surface condition of the Camp road. There was nothing wrong with the road, there are speed bumps, so you're suppose to slow down due to 30 miles speed limit, however people are literally flying along the road 50 miles per hour and then complain about the damage to their car's suspension and/or tyres. As there are no speed cameras they may drive even faster after the road works are completed! The fact that Police Station is just down the road means nothing to people.

    Kind Regards, Leona McLean
