Planting crocuses on Monk Roundabout

Reported anonymously at 23:41, Tue 11 August 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later

I am enquiring about the possibility of planting 4000 purple crocuses on the Monk Roundabout on the Marcham Road in Abingdon. They have been purchased by the Rotary Club of Abingdon Vesper.

The crocuses represent Rotary Internationals global efforts to eradicate polio.

We would need to also erect notices when the crocuses bloom in the spring, saying about what they represent.

They would compliment crocuses already planted outside the Abingdon Hospital and Macdonalds in Abingdon.

They would need to be planted in October

Would you advise if this may be possible, and if so how we might go about it

Many thanks

Richard Benton
