Vehicle Registration Recognition put up on Weirs Lane and Donnington Bridge Road.

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
We would like to have Vehicle Registration Recognition put up on Weirs Lane and Donnington Bridge Road. Most people driving on the road are not local, and should be using the bye-pass, and it’s terribly busy and dangerous, as they rush to the traffic lights before they change, and the zebra crossing needs lights, as most traffic is speeding over 30mph.
Also, very importantly, we are being choked by the NO2 and pollution from these vehicles, and most residents have chronic chest infections. Roll on the days of the electric or hydro vehicles!

Donnington bridge road/ weirs lane is part of the arterial route within the city for traffic heading East/ West over the river. It is part of the public highway and is not subject to any local traffic restrictions.
There is an on-going push to get electric charge points across the city, and cycle promotion, so hopefully this will have an effect on the fumes over the coming years.
