Lack of Give Way marking

Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 12:36, Wednesday 5 August 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Further to my original post, the road markings by St John's School have been given a spruce up - they are now visible!

However, and this is even more important, there is still no Give Way markings nor is there a Give Way sign. Cars and, especially, delivery vans/trucks often do not stop when exiting the school into the main Trenchard Close. As Trenchard Close is a cul-de-sac , many people, especially children, assume (wrongly of course), that the close is a safe place to wander around/play in. There needs to be a Give Way marking and, preferably, a physical Give Way sign.

  • Thank you for your further note about the linemarking recently undertaken. The refurbishment of the white marking in question was unfortunately missed off of our survey and therefore will be reinstated when our linemarkers are next passing the Wallingford Area. Please do bear with us as they are currently busy in other areas at the moment however, as soon as they have opportunity they will pop back to attend to this.

    State changed to: Investigation complete
