Vehicles Parked

Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 10:28, Wednesday 5 August 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Our gate which opens onto Hixet Wood in Charlbury is continually obstructed by parked cars so I wanted to check the possibility of having a 'no parking' area painted in front of it? When there are cars parked we have to either mount the verge or squeeze between two closely parked vehicles to get out.

  • Please following the link below for further information regarding private access protection markings. We look forward to hearing from you with the information required. Please note there is a charge for these markings. Alternatively, obstruction is a matter for Thames Valley Police to deal with and you should report this direct to them. residents/ roads-and-transport/ street-maintenance-z/ private-access-markings

Our road marking schedule has already been issued for this financial year so if your request was approved the work would not be carried out until the financial year 2021-22 starting next April. You would need to make payment before the work was added to our list. If you would like to consider this then I suggest it would be best for you to get back in touch early 2021 and we can go from there.
