Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
There has recently been a major accident on the B4009 between Watlington town and Howe Hill. The 30 m.p.h. sign is disregarded by motorists/motorbikes as they leave the town; motorists see a straight road and put their foot down on the accelerator and off they go totally disregarding the safety of pedestrians or people accessing the road from houses. The road signs reminding motorists of the speed limit urgently need re-painting and we need at VAS now before someone is killed. I have contacted Watlington Parish Council with my concerns and I look forward to your reply.

Thank you for your report and please accept our apologies for the delay in response. Working with Watlington Parish Council various Vehicle activated signs are due to be installed in the near future and the signage and junction around the Ridgeway Crossing on Howe Road is currently part way through improvements. We trust this assists.
