- There needs to be double yellow lines as school traffic is parking creating increasingly dangerous overtaking.
- Traffic calming measures are not working there is persistent speeding on this road.
- Lorries are increasingly ignoring the weight limit signs.

Thank you for your enquiry and please accept our apologies for the delay in response. The installation of formal waiting restrictions (yellow lines) requires the implementation of a ‘Traffic Regulation Order’, this involves a long and expensive legal process including public consultation, I regret that Oxfordshire County Council do not currently have the available funding for such a scheme.
We would suggest that an initial approach is made to your Town / Parish Council so that due consideration can be given towards its priority within the local area and so that the proposal can be endorsed and promoted locally. Town / Parish Councils are also well placed to secure the necessary financial cost to such a scheme should it be progressed.
It should be noted that if vehicles are parked in such a manner as to cause an obstruction of the highway they are committing an offence under Section 22 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and can therefore be moved by Thames Valley Police although, from experience and appropriate, local understanding can also assist.
