High Street Clifton Hampden is a single yellow line zone but the yellow line is in need of a repaint. Lots of people are now parking here to acces the river even though there is alternative, legal parking available. Part of the yellow line is still there but people ignore it. Yesterday a large van was parked in a narrow stretch of the road with numerous cars . It is dangerous and poeple are flouting the restriction. Please repaint both sides of the road asap. Thank you.

Single yellow line ignored- it needs repainting please asap so it is clearer although the van was clearly parked on a yellow line during the restriction period and the owner was unpleasant when this was pointed out and said call the police. The volume of parking on hot days is now very substantial in a narrow small road - it is dangerous and illegal. There is the car park over the bridge and a neighbour has opened his field for parking to help out. It was open when this photo was taken but they parked here instead. The chance of an accident is increased and there are numerous old and young people living in the road. It applies for the length of the high Street and has been bad for many months . One person in the road told me he reported it to the police when a car was parked particularly dangerously, but he said nothing happened. If the lines are repainted and better signage used people are much more likely to obey the law. Thank you.
