Need for more 20mph signs on London Road Headington (A420)

Need for more 20mph signs on London Road Headington (A420). I had not used Gypsy Lane/London Road for some time and although I knew that the 20mph limit applied around Gypsy Lane (there are no 20mph limits where I live), I was not aware that it also applied to the whole length of London Road. I could not see any visible 20mph repeater signs when you turn right from Gypsy Lane towards Headington centre until you are much further east and many vehicles are in any case not respecting the 20 mph limit, esp. taxis. One could be forgiven for assuming a 30mph limit. Is it possible to install extra 20mph signs on London Rd so it is absolutely clear to those not familiar with Oxford what the speed limit is. Thanks. FYI I have not been penalised! - but would like to make sure the limit is clear to us all.

I think the main road A420 is actually called Headington Rd at the end of Gypsy Lane but you get the gist of my report. The 20mph limit should be very clearly marked if your turn both ways into Headington Rd.
