In Dec/Jan time the ditches at the side of the road up from the property were cleaned out by their neighbour. This allowed rain water to flow once again down into a culvert pipe at the front of the property, and not down the road. However, during heavy rainfall it became apparent that the rain water wasn’t flowing all the way down the pipe but was escaping half way down the grass bank. Where the water was coming out was very close to a telegraph pole restraint cable. The cable is in a new position we believe as the old bar is still there 3ft to the left of the new one. We dug a small test hole to locate the culvert pipe only to find it seemingly smashed by the installation of the new restraint. I have pictures I can email to you and the test hole is still open if you need to see for yourself. I have called Thames Water. They have been out to inspect but have advised they don’t own the pipe and to get in contact with yourselves. Please could you further advise?
