Road not fit for purpose

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 23:10, Friday 17 July 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

During a very hot spell recently the road between RG9 4NT and RG9 4PN melted. Subsequent traffic movements on the road pushed the tarmac into ridges like a ploughed field and potholes. This damage to the highway is capable of throwing cars into on coming traffic and is also highly dangerous for cyclists. This tiny country road road is now taking most of the heavy traffic to access the development at Highlands Park. Highways must have been aware that this happened because at the time of melt down you gritted the road. It is too dangerous to stand in the road to take photographs. Please send someone out to inspect and repair it with great urgency.
