Overgrown bushes/shrubs obscuring junction

Reported in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 14:51, Wednesday 15 July 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

When travelling south (downhill) on Tite Lane, the severely overgrown bushes and shrubs on righthand side severely restrict vision of the junction immediately beyond the overhanging vegetation. Vehicles travelling in the opposite direction have a severely compromised view of anything, including pedestrians, travelling down Tite Lane and who have just rounded the bend.

  • Thank you for your report. The vegetation in Tite Lane is the responsibility of the adjacent Landowners to cut and maintain. I have visited this location today, 23.7.2020, There is no vegetation obstruction or encroachment to the carriageway at present at a level in which we write to the landowner, asking them to cut it back. One Bush near the East end of Tite lane is slightly encroaching/overhanging the wall, in which a very kind resident has offered to cut this back for the resident who is in his eighties and is unable to do it.
