Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Someone needs to view how high the kerb is outside 36 Clapcot Way. The drain isn't practical as it's higher than the height of where rain water sits. The camber on the road is horrendous. Parking is terrible. Bumpers get stuck on the high kerb, and then broken off cars because of the awful height. Someone is at risk of serious injury.

This kerb is far too steep. It will cause a serious injury if anyone were to slip off. Its the layby in Clapcot Way. Also the drain isnt in a suitable place as nothing runs down it-its position is higher than the lowest part of the road. Will someone please deal with these issues soon. Residents are not able to apply for a dropped kerb until this problem of the kerb height is dealt with. It's causing several problems amongst neighbours as parking down this road is awful.

Thank you for your report. I am passing the issue with the kerb height, gully and camber to be assessed by the Highway and Drainage Technician as there was nothing I as a Highways Inspector could resolve. The on street parking issue is unfortunately something Oxfordshire County Council, Highways can not resolve and can be due to todays high car ownership levels. This can cause issues especially in older estate roads that were not designed with this level of car ownership in mind. If a vehicle is parked causing an 'actual' obstruction they can be reported to the Police on their 101 number as they can enforce, in the right circumstance, if they wish to do so. This report is now closed.
