Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

We live at 46 Churchill Road Chipping Norton on the land outside our property there are some large trees to which the branches are now scraping the tiles on our roof as yet no damage has been done but we feel it is only a matter of time. We recently had a new telephone cable as the trees had damaged this but they would not trim the branches as they said it wasn’t there responsibility unfortunately the cable will only get damaged again in due course . Would we be right in thinking the trees are your responsibility, We look forward to hearing from you.

  • We have visited the site and assessed the trees in their location. The overhanging trees are on land not deemed to be part of the publicly maintained highway by Oxfordshire County Council in our capacity as local highway authority. You are advised to contact land registry to determine who is responsible for the land on which the trees are growing and therefore have responsibility of the trees.
