Tree fallen over blocking Eastbound A40 and parallel access road

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 11:34, Sunday 12 July 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Sometime overnight on 11-12th July, a large branch has broken off a tree rooted on the parallel access road and fallen across that road and onto the adjacent eastbound A40. The middle photo shows the broken branch, and that the tree is growing either side of power lines which connect westwards along the access road to several houses. All these lines, and associated telegraph poles could come down were the remainder of tree to fall. The branch is completely blocking the access road in the eastward direction (exit of this road onto The Mount is still useable), and blocking the eastbound side of the A40 between Oak Farm Close and The Mount.
