New double yellow lines

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 20:11, Friday 10 July 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There has been an extension of double yellow lines on don Bosco road and part of junction road. There has been no explanation as to why this has been extended. It does not appear to be because of a safety issue. There is no designated residents parking so the spaces available in the street are reduced further. Please can you provide an explanation as to why they have been extended and when they will implement resident parking? Thanks

  • Thank you for your report. These double yellow lines have been introduced as part of the wider schemes in the area. I believe here it was specifically to help car exit the junction safely. The controlled parking zone for the area was due to be introduced this year, however I am aware that they have all been delayed due to Covid-19. Please see this link for more information and to contact the parking team directly: https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ residents/ roads-and-transport/ parking/ parking-permits/ controlled-parking-zones#:~:text=A%20controlled%20parking%20zone%20(CPZ,issued%20with%20a%20parking%20ticket.

IF you have further questions, I suggest contacting your local Councillor.
