Damage to Grass and Island
Reported anonymously at 14:20, Thu 9 July 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later
The in bin collecting lorry drives regularly over the grassed island with trees. The residents have tried to repair and reseed the damage, but fresh damage has been caused. Please contact the company and instruct them to stop driving over the island. Also, to prevent cars parking on the island, which unfortunately happens too often, causing further damage to the island, please provide some fencing to protect the circumference of the grassed area. The Zoomm cable company recently used the island as equipment and road signage storage area, causing further damage. There is a double yellow line around the island, but - because it is not being enforced, drivers and other road users disregard it. Please help us resolve this long-standing problem. The residents are willing to assist! Many thanks!

Thank you for progressing this report so swiftly. I attach a screenshot of the reply, also very prompt, of Biffa. Unfortunately, that advice takes us back to square one, as it advises me to report the issue to you again. Surely, there must be a way of establishing who, actually, is responsible for dealing with this report! Please advise what further steps might be required in order to resolve the issue. Many thanks!
