Surface Water Not Draining to Highway Gulleys
Reported in the Drainage category anonymously at 10:46, Tuesday 7 July 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I recently reported a problem of water not draining to highway gulleys in Cuddesdon Road (Council ref: ENQ20869773) and received the following response:
Thank you for reporting this issue. The gully issue/blockage will be included in our forthcoming gully cleansing programme.
To clarify, the problem is NOT that the gulleys are blocked but that the surface of the road has dished such that water cannot drain to the gulleys. The road surface requires re-profiling to restore a gradient sufficient for the water to reach the gulleys.
Council ref: ENQ20869824
Thank you for your enquiry. This issue has been passed onto the relevant team for investigation.
