Issue 1: Cars parking along Hamfield - Pulling into the road itself is dangerous as cars are often parked right up to the entrance of the road from Ham Road. Cars should be parked on driveways but instead residents park them on the road even if their driveways are empty. Visually you cannot see around the cars to view any oncoming traffic without pulling fully out which then, should a car be coming towards you, you are then reversing back almost onto the main road. Issue 2: Pulling out onto the main road - a red car is often (almost always) parked on the main road so traffic has to vere around the car to continue along the main road, Ham Road. Surely parking on a main road should not be allowed; especially so close to the junction of Hamfield. For cars pulling out this provides an additional danger which could be avoid. Issue 3: Our house does not allow us to utilise our front garden as a driveway. We would like to be given the option to. If there was a way we, and other houses on the green, could use them as driveway this would remove a significant number of cars and I am sure complaints about lack of parking. We have a large green area in front of our house; we are not permitted to drive on the grass however do as often the parking which should be allocated to houses which do not have a driveway is often full and used by cars from other houses on the road which do. Would be good to discuss options. Surely access to front of houses should be required to allow emergency services etc to access houses. Also with cars moving to being electric how will cars that cannot access the front of their houses move to what will be a mandatory car type in the future?
